Revolut Spain has announced the integration of Bizum, a popular Spanish peer-to-peer payment service, as it reaches a milestone of 3.5 million customers. This integration comes as part of Revolut's strategy to further increase its customer base, which has grown by 40% this year alone. According to Ignacio Zunzunegui, Growth Director for Southern Europe, nearly 75% of Revolut's users in Spain consider Bizum one of the three essential services when choosing their primary bank.
With this addition, Revolut aims to enhance its product offerings in Spain, which recently included the launch of an interest-bearing account, and to become the primary bank account for users in the country. The company aspires to establish itself as one of the leading banking entities in Spain.
