PwC announced a landmark deal with OpenAI, becoming the artificial intelligence firm's first resale partner and largest enterprise user. The Big Four accounting firm will offer ChatGPT Enterprise to its U.S. and U.K. employees and clients, integrating advanced AI capabilities throughout its operations. The agreement includes access to OpenAI's latest tools, such as the ChatGPT-4o model and new voice and image features. PwC will distribute ChatGPT Enterprise licenses to over 100,000 employees, aiming to enhance its audit, tax, and consulting services.
This partnership marks OpenAI's first resale model of its AI products, which have incurred significant computing costs. The initiative is part of PwC’s broader $1 billion investment in AI over three years, focusing on developing custom GPTs and identifying over 3,000 internal use cases for generative AI. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
