Mastercard launches Apple Pay for cardholders in the Dominican Republic

Mastercard announced that Apple Pay is now available for its cardholders in the Dominican Republic, including those with cards from Banreservas, Banco BHD, Banco Popular Dominicano, and Qik Banco Digital Dominicano. This secure payment method allows users to make purchases without a physical card by utilizing their iPhone or Apple Watch. Apple Pay transactions are authenticated through Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode, and can be used at any contactless payment location.

Setting up Apple Pay is straightforward via the Wallet app, and users retain all Mastercard rewards and benefits. Enhanced privacy is maintained as actual card numbers are not stored on devices, ensuring secure transactions.
