Google's Cloud services have seen a significant 28% increase in revenue, reaching $9.57 billion in the first quarter of 2024. This growth is largely attributed to the integration of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) for enterprise customers worldwide.
According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, the differentiation in Google Cloud services stems from its AI Hypercomputer, which offers efficient and cost-effective infrastructure for training models. This has led to 60% of funded GenAI startups and nearly 90% of GenAI unicorns becoming Google Cloud customers.
Furthermore, the cloud-based Google One plan, which combines storage and AI capabilities, has surpassed 100 million paid subscribers. Additionally, Google introduced a new premium AI plan, Gemini Advanced, showcasing the company's continued momentum in cloud services driven by innovative AI applications.
