Created by Humans helps people license their work for integration with AI models

In 2024, as numerous legal battles ensue over generative AI companies using copyrighted work without permission, Created by Humans aims to sidestep these issues by offering a marketplace for licensing intellectual property directly to large language models (LLMs). Founded by Trip Adler, former CEO of Scribd, and backed by $5 million in funding, the platform initially targets authors and book publishers. Created by Humans proposes the "Fourth Law," which ensures creators have control, consent, compensation, and credit when their work is used by AI.

The company envisions its platform as a significant revenue source for the book industry, potentially surpassing ebooks and audiobooks. Notable investors include David Sacks, Mike Maples, Jason Calacanis, Sam Lessin, Garry Tan, and author Walter Isaacson.
