Blik, Poland's leading cashless payment system, is set to extend its reach internationally through a partnership with the UK-based financial platform, Revolut. Blik, which has grown to over 16.5 million users since its 2015 inception, allows phone-based transfers validated by a six-figure code. Currently, trials of Blik’s codes on Revolut are underway, with an official launch expected by year-end. Blik has also recently expanded into Slovakia and the UAE, with plans to enter Romania pending approval.
Integrating with Revolut’s extensive European network could accelerate Blik's user base growth abroad. Revolut, boasting 40 million customers and preparing for a London IPO, originated in Eastern Europe but has since become a British-registered bank. The collaboration marks a significant step for Blik in its quest for international expansion.
