Amazon has unveiled an unlimited grocery delivery subscription service for Prime members and EBT card holders in over 3,500 cities and towns across the U.S. This service, initially tested in Denver, Sacramento, and Columbus, offers subscriptions at $9.99 monthly for Prime users and $4.99 for those with EBT cards. Subscribers enjoy free delivery on orders above $35 from Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and other local retailers, alongside benefits like one-hour delivery windows, unlimited 30-minute pickups, and priority for recurring weekly deliveries.
Amazon positions this service as cost-effective, suggesting it "pays for itself" with monthly orders under $50. The launch competes with Walmart Plus and Target's delivery plans, both having similar pricing structures and minimum order requirements. Additionally, Amazon recently replaced its “Just Walk Out” technology with the Dash Cart system for a more streamlined checkout process in its stores.
