Thunes and Alipay+ enhance cross-border payments for Asian tourists in Paris

Thunes has partnered with Alipay+ to enable hundreds of merchants in Paris to accept cross-border payments from 15 international e-wallets and mobile partners, enhancing convenience for Asian tourists visiting France. The collaboration leverages the Thunes Global Network, allowing over 1.5 billion Alipay+ users worldwide to make seamless payments at electronics, luxury retail, and duty-free stores in the Paris metropolitan area. Supported e-wallets include Alipay, GCash, TrueMoney, and Kakao Pay.

This partnership, which began in 2022, continues to expand Alipay+ acceptance across Europe, improving the tourism experience for international visitors. Thunes operates in over 130 countries, providing access to more than 80 currencies and 330 alternative payment methods globally.
