Revolut expands into payment terminals for larger businesses in the UK and Ireland

Revolut, the fintech giant known for digital payments, is launching a new payment terminal called Revolut Terminal in the UK and Ireland to target larger businesses and retailers. This expansion aims to enhance Revolut's business-to-business offerings, especially ahead of the festive season. The terminal integrates with Revolut Pay, providing over 45 million users a seamless payment option while offering merchants reduced fees and access to analytics and management tools. With this move, Revolut seeks to capture market share from both fintech competitors like Square and traditional players, boasting its record uptime during peak periods like Black Friday.

Revolut, founded in 2015, shows robust growth with £438m pretax profit in 2023 and over 10 million UK retail customers. The Revolut Terminal is available for pre-order starting at £129 plus VAT, underscoring the company's commitment to serving larger SMEs with reliable and innovative payment solutions.
