Linktree has acquired social media scheduling tool Plann for an undisclosed amount. Based in Sydney, Plann will continue operating independently for now, but Linktree plans to integrate its scheduling features soon, offering social media planning and auto-posting for TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. It's unclear if Plann's AI-powered caption generator will be included, and details on the cost of the new tool haven't been shared. Current Plann users will transition to Linktree once launched, and the entire Plann team, including founder Christy Laurence, will join Linktree permanently.
Linktree noted that social scheduling is highly requested, as it helps creators streamline content distribution and save time. Linktree co-founder and CEO Alex Zaccaria emphasized that adding social scheduling will improve the user experience, allowing creators to focus more on creating content. This marks Linktree's fourth acquisition, following investments in Koji, Bento, and Odesli.
Earlier this year, Linktree launched its beta social commerce offering, allowing creators to add storefronts to their link-in-bio pages and earn commissions on sales. With over 50 million users, Linktree continues to expand its capabilities for creators and businesses.
