Nvidia's Jensen Huang states AI won't eliminate human jobs

Nvidia Inc., a leader in powering the artificial-intelligence revolution, remains optimistic about the impact of AI on human employment. In a recent "60 Minutes" segment, Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, shared his perspective on the evolving role of AI in the workforce and the company's impressive market performance.

Huang emphasized that the automation and productivity increases brought about by AI technology will lead to company growth and, consequently, more employment opportunities. He highlighted the importance of having "humans in the loop" for their judgment and understanding, which machines cannot replicate.

Further, with the introduction of Nvidia's latest GPU chips, Blackwell, Huang is excited about the myriad possibilities AI holds in areas like drug discovery and the exploration of the universe, areas where human capability alone falls short.

Despite a recent dip, Nvidia's stocks have experienced significant growth, positioning the company alongside tech giants such as Microsoft, Apple, and Alphabet in the elite $2 trillion valuation club. With an upcoming earnings report on May 22, expectations are high following a previous quarter that exceeded forecasts by nearly $2 billion.
