Dropbox has acquired Reclaim, an AI-driven scheduling tool backed by investors like Calendly and Index Ventures. The terms of the acquisition, announced in a blog post, are undisclosed. Founded in 2019 by Henry Shapiro and Patrick Lightbody, Reclaim.ai will continue developing its product under Dropbox, supporting its 320,000 users across 43,000 companies. Known for its AI-driven time management, it integrates with Google Calendar and plans to add Outlook support.
Reclaim.ai raised over $9.5 million from investors, including Gradient Ventures and former GitHub CTO Jason Warner. Its features include booking links, automatic scheduling, and time management, competing with tools like Calendly and Doodle. Reclaim.ai will keep its pricing structure, with a free tier and paid plans starting at $8 per month.
The acquisition supports Dropbox’s mission to boost workplace productivity with innovative technology. Reclaim.ai’s 22-member team will join Dropbox to explore more AI applications in the workplace. In the productivity space, ClickUp acquired calendar startup Hypercal, and Notion launched a new calendar product from its 2022 acquisition of Cron. Dropbox reported Q2 2024 revenue of $634.5 million, showing steady growth.
