Cisco entered the AI collaboration space in 2020 with noise cancellation technology, well before generative AI gained global attention. At Cisco Live 2024, VP Kristyn Hogan highlighted two main focus areas for Cisco’s AI applications: enhancing customer experiences in contact centers and supporting hybrid work.
Hogan emphasized the profitability for Cisco channel partners in AI services, cloud migration, and leveraging Webex AI Assistant. With 6.5 million seats up for renewal within 18 months, partners can maximize revenue by discussing AI benefits and cloud transitions with customers.
Unlike competitors, Cisco includes AI in all plans without extra charges, simplifying sales and offering a competitive edge over rivals like Microsoft and Avaya. The unified communications market sees Cisco and Avaya competing closely, both aiming to modernize and adopt AI-driven solutions.
