Apple partners with Santander's Zinia

Apple has partnered with Santander's digital consumer finance platform, Zinia, to offer new payment options in Germany. The collaboration will allow Apple customers to access financing options, including split payments up to 36 months and deferred payments up to 30 days, for purchases made in physical or online stores. Customers will need to provide their phone number and date of birth for validation, which Santander claims will take only a few seconds. The service is expected to launch in the next few months and aims to expand throughout Germany and other European countries.

This partnership marks an effort by Santander to blend traditional banking with fintech innovations. Apple, which launched its own buy now, pay later service, Apple Pay Later, in the US last year, has not yet extended this service to Europe, highlighting the significance of this new alliance.
